March 2, 2019 - Aaron Lee Tasjan opened for Cheap Trick at NYCB Theatre at Westbury. Neither editor of this magazine had ever heard of him. But we were glad to be introduced to this Witty, offbeat singer/ song writer, who put on a great show with his trio.
He has been labeled a “troubadour and a minstrel”, whose music has been described as “indie folk grit” and he was well received by the Cheap Trick fans.
The 40 minute set was engaging, complete with banter with the audience and great music.
It may surprise you to learn that Tasjan played lead guitar for a 2009 incarnation of The New York Dolls, toured with Lady Gaga, and released his first album in 2008.
He is currently touring in support of his 2018 "Karma For Cheap" album. You can learn more about this artist and his tour on his website here.
