American Authors Soar High on Pier 17's Rooftop

Brooklyn-based American Authors, currently on tour with O.A.R., performed to a sold-out show at The Rooftop at Pier 17. It's a beautiful (outdoor) venue located in Manhattan's Seaport District and offers guests some incredible views.

When they took the stage, you could tell the guys were excited to be playing in their hometown and was ready for a special night. What made it even more incredible was being able to see the Brooklyn Bridge right behind them on stage.

They jumped right in and got the crowd going singing their hits like "Best Day of My Life" and "Believer". The set list also included cuts from their latest CD like "Calm Me Down" and "Before I Go".

Throughout the show there was lots of interacting with the crowd. Zac Barnett jumped down between the crowd and stage, standing on a step on the barricade leaning in to the crowd, singing to adoring fans and giving some high-fives.

They covered The Killers "Mr. Brightside" which drew a huge (positive) response from the crowd. Their energetic music was the perfect addition to this tour and got everyone ready for O.A.R. They never missed a beat and didn't stop moving from the moment they stepped out on stage.

Check out their latest CD, Seasons, and be sure to catch them on their next tour.
